The Gazing Man

India is a land of colours and festivals. Jejuri, which is about 50 kms from Pune actually lives up to its name. The town is aptly named “Sonyachi Jejuri” which means “The Golden Jejuri”. Devotees of local deity, God Khandoba celebrate the Bhandara festival with great enthusiasm on Somvati Amavasya in Jejuri. And their ritual of celebration is unique – an astounding amount of Bhandare (turmeric) is being thrown all over the temple premises by devotees.

There's nothing quite like Gangtok at the blue hour. The clouds, unique buildings all lit up. The light trails of the vehicles speeding by on the curvy roads. I could stand there and watch it all go by for hours. This photo tries to capture one such moment.

While I was capturing the mating of the flies, another one sat down and created an interesting frame. What followed was even more interesting, the single fly  took a few steps forward and suddenly hit the mating couples. After a push or two he shooed away the mating couples. Also loved the complementary colours green and magenta side by side

obsolete reflection

Being a traveler wanted to explore the less explored places in india.so, wanted to visit India’s third longest road-cum-rail bridge which is very scenic as well. Once we reached there we also wanted to go for a boat trip during sunrise and the locals were kind enough to this fisherman to take us on a small tour. When we were talking to him regarding when did he start fishing and what time he starts every day. He started telling us that he comes every day in the morning at 3am and starts fishing. Then he started displaying his fishing skills to us which and we were like really impressed. When we reached the shore he told today he didn't catch any fish and we offered him 500 for taking us for a tour and he was so happy as it was festival called sankranthi India. He told this is my daily earnings, now I can go spend the rest of the day with his family.
