A group of artisans sit together for months, almost from the year start, to create the clay idols of Lord Ganesha of various size and shape. Starting from a size as small as your palm to about 10-12 feet height, they make it using clay and natural colors. This is their only profession and they spend their total savings or may even borrow to complete the tasks taken by them. Whatever they earn is only in this period of one or two months.
